Welcome to Vinchat and the mobile version of Vinchat (the “Application”)

When you use the Services, we process your Personal Data and other information. “Personal Data” means any data that allows us (whether or not we do so) to identify you (also referred to as a “User”) as a natural person.

Your privacy is important to us and we have developed this Privacy Policy to explain to you:

By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of personal data and other information as outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you warrant to us that (I) you have read, understood and agree to this Privacy Policy, and (II) you are 18 years of age or older (or your parent or guardian has read and agreed to this Privacy Policy). In such event, you must (a) delete your account using the functionality in “Settings - Delete Account ” in the App, or contact us and request deletion of your data; (b) cancel any subscription using the functionality provided by Apple (if you are using iOS) or Google (if you are using Android); and (c) delete the App from your device.

2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

We collect data that you provide voluntarily (e.g. when you send us an email). We may also receive data about you from third parties (e.g. when you connect to Facebook). Finally, we collect data automatically (e.g. your IP address).

2.1 Data you provide to us

Information you provide to us when you set up your profile; including, but not limited to, registration data, account settings, and content you add to your profile, such as your email address, user name, phone number, photos (including photos that have been removed from your profile) and other media files, information about your interests and activities, your gender and age, and other personal characteristics and demographic information. When you choose to connect your social media account to your Services profile, we collect certain Personal Data from that social media site. You may also provide information by contacting us (e.g., by email or chat) when you report a problem with the Services, etc.

2.2 Data we generate when you use our services

For example: data about the pages you visit, your interactions with other users, posts you share, and data about the use of Service features.

2.3 Data provided by third parties

When you decide to log in with Facebook, we obtain personal data from your Facebook account. This includes your profile picture, name, gender, age, and Facebook ID. We also collect additional data, such as email address or phone number, unless you opt out on the Facebook login screen.

In addition, Facebook allows you to control the choices you make when connecting your Facebook profile to an application on its application and website pages.

2.4 Data we collect automatically

Device and location data. We collect data from your mobile device. Examples of this data include: language settings, IP address, time zone, device type and model, device settings, operating system, internet service provider, mobile carrier, hardware ID, and Facebook ID.

Usage Data We record how you interact with our Services. For example, we record your clicks on certain areas of the interface, the features and content you interact with, how often you use the App, how long you stay in the App, and your subscription orders.

Advertising ID We collect your Apple Advertising Identifier (“IDFA”) or Google Advertising ID (“AAID”) (depending on your device’s operating system). You can usually reset these numbers through your device’s operating system’s settings (but we have no control over this).

Vinchat may also collect and aggregate non-personally identifiable information, such as certain profile information, including country of residence and preferences. In addition, Vinchat may collect and store information about your and others’ use and interaction with the Services, including matches, number of member matches, length of matches, SMS messages, usage by region, device and connection information, IP addresses, device capabilities, page view statistics, network type, and traffic to and from our Services.

Vinchat allows you to share text messages, photos, screenshots, videos, and other communications in the Vinchat app with other users, and if you choose to do so, your text messages, photos, screenshots, videos, and other communications will be stored on our servers. In addition, if you choose to share these with other Vinchat users, we may not be able to delete them from our servers or make them unavailable to anyone with whom you have shared them. Sending and sharing text messages, photos, screenshots, videos, or other communications in the Vinchat app is your decision. By choosing to share this information, you should understand that you may no longer be able to control how it is used and that it may become public (depending in part on your actions or the actions of others with whom you share the information). Vinchat is not responsible for any use or misuse of the information you share.

Vinchat may also collect User Content (such as photos, screenshots, comments, and other materials) that you create on the Service. Other users on Vinchat may take photos of you, and if they use the capture function provided by Vinchat , these photos may be stored and used by Vinchat and third-party services (such as Facebook, etc.). If you do not agree to all the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

If the Service crashes or hangs, we also collect error report information so that we can investigate the error and improve the stability of future versions of the Service. Generally, these reports do not contain personally identifiable information, or only occasionally do. As part of these error reports, we receive information about your device type and version, device identifier, when the error occurred, the features you were using, and the state of the application when the error occurred. We do not use this information for any purpose other than investigating and fixing the error.

3. For what purposes do we use your personal information?

We collect your personal data and other information to provide a safe, optimal and personalized user experience for each user of the Service. We may use the collected information for the following purposes:

Publishing your user profile. Social platforms mean you can connect with other users. We process your data into a unique user profile that is visible to other users, platform visitors and users of certain search engines. Users can control the information on their profile and can choose whether their profile is included in public search results (via settings).

Improvements and developments in matching results, technology, and other features. We focus on successful matching. We have more detailed information about our users, so our results are more accurate and more successful.

Improve platform functionality by analyzing and interpreting user statistics. We are happy to use new technologies to improve and update our products and services.

Advertising. Advertising enables us to provide you with the rich content available on the Services. Some of our ads are based on the content of pages you view elsewhere on the Internet (i.e., online behavioral advertising). We believe that such tailored ads are more relevant to you and therefore more popular. We and our partners (including Facebook and Google) use your personal data to tailor ads and may even display ads to you at relevant times. For example, if you have our apps installed, you may see ads for our products in your Facebook feed. How to Opt-Out or Influence Personalized Ads iOS: On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then Privacy, tap Ads to select Limit Ad Tracking. Additionally, you can reset your advertising identifier in the same section (which may also help you see fewer personalized ads). Android: To opt-out of ads on an Android device, simply open the Google Settings app on your phone, tap Ads and enable Opt-out of interest-based ads. Additionally, you can reset your advertising identifier in the same section (which may also help you see fewer personalized ads).

Detect and prevent fraud, erroneous and/or criminal behavior and violations of our Code of Conduct. This is necessary to be able to provide a secure and high-performance platform. While we do not generally read or monitor the messages you send or receive through the Service, we reserve the right to access and review such messages to detect any fraud or other illegal and undesirable user behavior, to conduct background checks on users, or to take any legally required action. This may occur, for example, if we receive a large number of user complaints about the content of messages received from you.

General membership management and provision of paid services. We refer to any actions necessary to ensure that appropriate services are provided to users. We use information to provide you with personalized services, such as selecting available payment processors, determining eligibility for promotions, and showing you personalized advertising. Some of the data we receive may be considered "sensitive data" due to its nature. Vinchat may forward any counter-notification and any related communications you submit under the Terms of Service to third parties.

As our business develops, we may buy or sell assets or business offerings. Customer information is typically one of the business assets transferred in such transactions. We may also share such information with any affiliated entities (such as a parent or subsidiary) and may transfer such information in the course of a corporate transaction, such as the sale of our business, divestiture, merger, consolidation or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.

We share personal data with third parties we engage to provide services or perform business functions on our behalf, based on our instructions. We share your personal information with the following types of service providers: cloud storage providers, data analytics providers, measurement partners, marketing partners (particularly social media networks, marketing agencies, email delivery services).

10. Children and COPPA

We are a general audience service and do not knowingly use the Service to collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13) that would require parental notice and consent under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). In fact, if you are under the age of 18, you may not use the Service or send any information about yourself to us through the Service.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from any child, we will handle that information in accordance with COPPA and other applicable laws and regulations.
